Royal Marines Museum
you can discover the colourful and exciting history of
the Royal Marines brought to life through dramatic and interactive
displays, special effects and the latest audio-visual technology.
Climb and explore a real rigid raider, experiment tying life saving knots
and firing a
flintlock pistol and in the jungle warfare room watch out for the live
snakes and scorpions!
The Museum is also home to the most comprehensive medal collection in the
World with over 7,000 medals and all 10 Victoria Crosses won by the Royal
Marines.
Every year the
Royal Marines play a key part in resolving conflicts and keeping peace
around the world this is your chance to see it all under one roof.
It’s the closest you’ll get to experiencing life as a Royal Marine without
joining up!

How to Find The
Royal Marines Museum
By Car: Via A3 (M) from London, A33 from Winchester,
M27 from Southampton or A277 from Brighton - follow signs for Southsea and
head towards the Seafront, from which the Royal Marines Museum is sign posted.
By Rail:
Portsmouth Harbour, Portsmouth and
Southsea or Fratton - then by bus or taxi.
By Bus:
Buses run from all rail stations to Eastney
plus a short walk.
